Duties and Responsibilities: Arbitrators and Mediators act to perform conflict resolution between two or more parties through open communication and dialogue. This is meant to keep the conflict out of the court system and thus reducing costs to each party. An Arbitrator or mediator can be lawyer, a Judge, retired legal professional, and generally is a neutral party to either side. They work to gain agreement between all people and parties by producing mutual consent, signed by all.
