Duties and Responsibilities: Audiologists will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with hearing disorders and may provide hearing aid fitting and auditory training. Some audiologists perform research to hearing related problems.

Audiologists typically work in hospitals, medical centers, private practice groups and even schools and treat a diverse population of infants, children, adults and elderly. They will also perform neonatal hearing screenings with follow ups.

Audiologists are responsible for diagnosing evaluations and making referrals to family practice doctors, internal medicine, pediatrics and otolaryngology. In addition, they will also be found managing hearing aid and assistive device distribution offices.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Seeking candidates proficient in comprehensive audiometry and VRA
Able to perform and interpret ABR, OAE, and ENG testing

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Masters or Doctoral degree in audiology
Regional audiology licensure
ABA or ASHA Certification (ABA or CCC-A)
Experience with pediatric case management
Experience with a variety of hearing aid manufacturers
