Duties and Responsibilities: Pastors, Ministors, Priests and the like make up the general term Clergy, and represent the leaders of their associated churches and religions. Their duties are often leading sermons, offering spiritual guidance and preaching faith according to their religious doctrines, beliefs and practices.
Clergymen are represented by many different religions and faiths, from Catholic Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Anglican, Protestant, Latter-day Saints, etc and their actual titles can range from Deacons, Archdeacons, Protodeacons, Priests, Bishops, Metropolitans, Archbishops, or Patriarchs and more. Their roles in their churches are all relatively the same however as they represent the general leadership of the whole.
Their duties and pay are wide ranging as they don’t always have set hours, rather they live their jobs. Everyday of their lives can be spent working, and their salaries can be from zero to over $100,000. Some live at the church such as a parish, and most work both inside and outside the church, as their followers only spend a few hours a week at the church. Clergymen can be found at schools, hospitols, homes and public.
