Duties and Responsibilities: Human Resource HR Managers work for a varitety of organizations from public sectors to private, both small and large businesses. They serve as the conduit between department managers in need of new support and those seeking employment by recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff. HR managers which head the Human Resources Dept also serve the current employees of the organization by keeping them abreast of benefit plans such as health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans such as 401k or 403b, payroll information and sometimes company activities. They are also a starting point for advancement opportunities as they are responsible for the aquisition of new talent.
