Duties and Responsibilities: Landscape architects design, develop and implement cosmetically aesthetic landscapes for public and private uses. Their work can be found everywhere there is construction and a public or private use. Freeways, public offices, schools and hospitals, community parks, residential developments, industrial sites and even parks. Landscape architects are responsible for much of the development process, from analyzing feasability while preserving historic restorations, providing cost estimates and conceptual drawings and supporting designs, to training and construction management, city code compliance and managing labor.
