They often conduct research, analyze data and present and report findings to develop better methodologies and efficiencies. They can evaluate the effect of drugs, dosages, toxins, and microorganisms. Medical scientists also study and research safety methods and areas that need improvement to propose newer health safety standards and public health improvements. Medical scientists can work in hospitals, veterinarian practices, managed care facilities and public health offices.
