Duties and Responsibilities: Property managers have a wide range of duties that include directing and mangeing the selling, buying or leasing of properties, whether it is commercial or residential. Commercial property managers also direct maintance of the buildings, keep buildings up to code and compliance, and help to keep tenets happy. Residential property managers have the same responsibilities but on a more individual basis as their customers are often 2 or more to a building. Residential property managers rent, lease, sell and buy homes, apartments, duplexes and condos, manage associations, maintenance of the property and more. Some property managers can live on the premises for discounted rent and other benefits.
