Duties and Responsibilities: Real Estate Appraisers essentially evaluate and estimate the value of land, houses, and buildings both residential and commercial. An appraiser is impartial and objective when determining the value for the sake of fairness in a business transaction. This helps buyers so they don’t overpay and banks so they offer the right loan. Real estate appraisers use a varitety of information to form their decisions — from general conditions of the property, the location, maintenance records, and even blueprints. Following their data collection appraisers will write a fair and unbiased report for all parties involved of what they found the real estate to be worth.
