]]> Comment on Top 5 Worst Companies to Work For by D http://edugree.com/2007/01/16/worst-companies-to-work-for/#comment-312351 D Wed, 22 May 2013 06:06:12 +0000 http://edugree.com/job-prep/5-worst-companies-to-work-for#comment-312351 Try working for Wendys as a crew member for 5 years who has not been properly trained (I asked lots of times no one wants to volunteer, not even the lazy arrogant boss who hired me because I'll be competition for more hours), sexually harassed by the same sexist, micromanaging, controlling boos and racist boss, have all your co-workers and shift supervisors shun you/ be rude to you out of fear of getting on the same store manager bad side (trust me he was mean to everybody especially if you're young because being elderly and just being miserable gets to you) by having him cut your hours, or find ways to fire you etc. Then the same sexist and racist boss who you have the biggest beef w/ get promoted to District Manager, then gives you as bad reference and will lift a finger to help you get a transfer to another Wendys location thats closer to home for complaining about him to his boss and because he really does hates your guts for not f$%king him. I swear his favorite movie is "Mean Girls" starring Lindsay Lohan. Pathetic! I finally complained about his management style to his boss and considered suing if the harassment didnt stop. The harassment from him did stop but at what cost. I now do the same s$%t at the Wendys I finally got transfered to for a measly 2 hours a week for an elderly b$%ch boss thats mean, bitter, negative, impatient with workers who need to be trained, moody, and just like him loves his favorites and everyone else whos not her good side is driven to quit or get fired. My relationship with the company really got worse when i said I'm going back to college I can't work weekdays anymore, I want to work evenings and weekends from now on. LOL You should have seen the looks on everyone's face and even the store manger I had trouble w/ when I said "In my psychology class, I learned about gay parenting. No one and even that boss has not said a word to me all day that day. It was pretty funny because on top of all the crap I get I now have deal with homophobia. If a gay couple came in, and asked to talk to me so they can flirt with me in front of my boss that would have been the icing on the cake. In retrospect, things were not working out in the long run. I hated the abuse, the office politics, the awful and expensive food we had to sell to ungrateful and furious about quality and price customers, being over worked and under-appreciated, the lack of good references, and most importantly it being absolutely un related to my future career. Thank God, I'm now a freelance babysitter who works occasionally for some clients, have my fillmmaking studies for meditation, and still going to college to be a Speech Language Pathologist. If my life truly revolved around this company who treats their employees like indispensable shit with no rights and s*&t pay and sell expensive s$%t food, I'd be like James Holmes and shoot up the place too.
