I am a crossroads in my life, and I got into a Ph.D. program during the recession. I am more confident to buckle down and get it done. Sacrifice now, for the payoff later.

What I found is that the coursework I am taking will give me a 4k payraise by next Sept., so I will be able to pay for more of my education while borrowing less. . . Too many good factors to pass up an opportunity of a lifetime, not to mention, I could finish as my daughter begins school. Nice!!

I dunno. I worked for two years recruiting $25 per hour lawyers in San Francisco who had thought it was a good strategy to ride out the dot-com bust in law school. It was not.
